On December 16 2009 the Netherlands Public Library Association (VOB) organized the symposium ‘Heritage in the library through audiovisual media’ for the library sector and other interested parties from the world of heritage.
Special guest was Francisco van Jole who got into the subject of digitization’s importance to society. More and more historic film, photo and video material is being made digitally accessible through the library, whether or not due to the steadily increasing amount of historic information and heritage boards. This symposium went into the subject of various new and innovative applications to generate the fusion of heritage and library.
