Sound and Vision on YouTube

September 23rd 2007

More and more organizations are tuning up their own YouTube-channels. Following Dutch public broadcasters such as the VPRO, the government coalition party CDA, the government opposition party SP, Greenpeace, and Football-club PSV, consortium partner Sound and Vision now has its own. www.YouTube.com/Beeldengeluid provides a taster of the hundred of thousands hours of content the institute will be digitizing the coming years. Even though it’s limited to roughly 42 films at the moment, it looks promising. For anyone interested in hearing Philip Bloemendaal – our unmistakable nostalgic Dutch news voice-over – comment on John Lennon and Yoko Ono in their large Hilton-bed, or images of the early 1950s flood disaster and gymnastics for housewives, take a peak.
