A board of directors, comprising the directors of the six participating consortium parties, heads Images for the Future. The secretary of the project can be found at the Sound and Vision institute, which also functions as treasurer.
The project activities have been divided in two workgroups; Workgroup 1, occupying itself with preservation and digitization (including the creation of a digital infrastructure), and Workgroup 2, which works on communication and developing services.
