User Research

An important step towards successfully providing content is contextualizing it. To achieve this, the digitized audiovisual content is being prepared in a way that makes it useful for applications. For educational purposes for example, content will be placed within a thematic, didactic context that connects with learning methods and electronic learning environments.

The project will be looking at specific demand within target groups for contextual information. User research of course plays a significant role, meaning Images for the Future will actively involve students and teachers in setting up the didactic Education Media Platform pilot. Intensive monitoring will show how much added value the service actually has in comparison to current learning materials. Knowledge about the users and what they want and need is indispensable in transforming a pilot into a successful service. The research input will in turn be used in further developing the platform.

Even though research will initially focus primarily on education, the project will also be mapping out the other user groups. In doing so, Images for the Future will keep asking itself the following question: how can we deliver the content in such a way, so that the general public and the creative industry, in addition to educational institutions, can benefit to the highest degree?
